“I have been a customer for a long time. I have been very pleased and happy with this company. I find that you are not just a number here, but you get individual attention. Every time I have called, I have felt like I was talking to a friend, not an worker. They are always accommodating to my requests. I have been so pleased with this company I recommended them to my neighbor, who did sign up.” – James B.
Newton was first settled in 1630, part of the “newe towne,” which was renamed Cambridge. Newton was incorporated as its own town in 1681.
Taking advantage of Upper and Lower Newton Falls, Newton became a big manufacturing town in the 18th and 19th centuries, producing products such as snuff, paper, glue and chocolate, as well as the Stanley Motor Carriage Company’s steam-engine vehicles.
Newton is a higher-education hub in greater Boston. The town is home to Boston College, Boston College Law School, William James College, Hebrew College, Lasell University, and the Mount Ida campus of the UMass system.
Major employers include Boston College and Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
